MATV antenna systems

TRS Communication Systems designs and installs MATV antenna systems for commercial and public buildings, whether it’s just few outlets or hundreds distributed often over several floors of a multi story buildings.

The advantage of a MATV system is the ability to distribute optimised TV signals from a single antenna system to a number of TV outlets where normal TV receivers can be connected to receive a high quality RF signal. Systems can distribute any number free-to-air channels VHF and UHF, and can also distribute Satellite 1st IF signals for pay TV systems, allowing the service provided to install only a desk top decoder.

The major advantages of a MATV system are:

• Only one set of antennas are required for any installation.
• The antennas can be placed in the best position to receive a clean ghost free signal from the TV transmitting stations.
• The antennas can be optimised to a higher standard, to provide the best possible reception of all required stations, which may not be economical in stand alone systems.
• The visual impact of a single antenna system is more desirable.
• Satellite signal can be distributed to a large number of outlets from a single satellite dish.
• The signals from both high power and lower power stations can usually be equalised to ensure the best reception possible on all channels.
• Internal programme from Video or DVD players can also be distributed.
